Do you have a digital camera lying around that you’d love to learn how to use in manual mode or do you have questions about using your phone’s manual camera settings? Come out on a session with me, Annie, to learn the basics of your camera, including the ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed and what makes them essential to capture what you want. I’ll also teach you about what makes a great photo, but also to leave the rules and boundaries behind to create art that means something to you.
We’ll go outside into the forest at FireLoch so you can try out your new skills and capture Spring in all her glory. If the sky is clear, we can play a little with shadows and different lighting settings so you can leave with the confidence to create art and capture special memories.
Participants will need to bring your own camera – any type! If you happen to have a spare camera kicking around that you are happy to lend for this workshop, please reach out!
I encourage folks to bring a friend (or mum – its’ mothers day!) to this workshop to have as a potential subject to photograph, but you are also more than welcome to come solo if you’d prefer.
We will spend a little time going over the basic settings of your camera, and I will provide you with a cheat sheet to take home with you so you can remind yourself of what you have learned. I will also be happy to answer any questions and show you how to capture something specific if you wish before we head outside. Total time for this workshop will be around 1.5-2 hours.
