If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, frustrated, or unheard during school meetings about your child’s learning needs, you are not alone. Whether you're new to the special education process or have been through it before, this workshop is for you.
Led by educator and parent advocate Amy Morales, this interactive session offers real-world tips and empowering strategies to help you show up to the table with clarity, confidence, and a plan. You’ll learn how to navigate IEPs, Section 504 Plans, and Learning Support Plans with less stress—and more success.
Walk away with tools to better understand your child’s rights, communicate effectively with school teams, and advocate in ways that are collaborative, assertive, and grounded in what’s best for your child.
This is more than just paperwork—it's about helping your child thrive.
About the speaker:
Meet Amy—She shows up with a calm voice, a sharp mind, and a deep understanding of what it means to raise a neurodiverse child who doesn’t fit neatly into any box.
Amy Morales, M.Ed., is the founder of Flourishing Well—an educational consultant, certified life coach, and devoted mom who brings both personal insight and professional expertise to her work with families. With over 30+ years of experience in education, advocacy, and leadership she helps parents of neurodiverse children move from burnout and confusion to clarity and confidence.
Amy is also a Georgetown University certified Health & Wellness Life Coach, holds a Cornell University certification in Executive Leadership, is a HERD Institute® Certified Equine-Facilitated Learning Practitioner as well as a Trauma-Sensitive HeartMath® Certified Practitioner. Beyond her credentials, it’s her grounded, compassionate presence that allows those she assists to feel safe and understood.
She didn’t just study neuroscience, special education, and human potential — Amy lives it. As a mother of an adult child with special needs, she has spent years navigating the school systems, fighting for services, learning what works (and what doesn’t), and holding hope through the hardest moments. Amy knows what it’s like to navigate IEPs, manage stress, and feel like you’re carrying it all alone. Through her coaching, advocacy, and services like Raising Heroes, she offers real support, practical tools, empowerment, and genuine encouragement!
