Come join us at Asbury United Methodist Church in Annapolis MD for a fun and informative event where you can learn how to preserve your family's history for generations to come!

Since 1803, Asbury has been a beacon of hope for the community it serves. We are inviting families with lineage in Asbury to join us in preserving the rich history of the oldest African-American church in Annapolis by taking part in the one-day Bible Ancestral Tree Copying Event. Most hardcover bibles have a family tree located in the first few pages. We are inviting families with linkages to Asbury's long history to copy those pages so they can be added to a permanent record of our ancestral preservation repository. We also invite you to tour our church museum with over 100 artifacts covering 222 years of history. You will also be able to view our informative and educational legacy videos capturing the voices of Asbury elders as they revisit our illustrious past.

This event is perfect for anyone interested in discovering more about their roots and connecting with a community of genealogists. Commune with others who share your passion for uncovering the past and leave with new insights and inspiration to continue your research. Don't miss out on this opportunity to create a lasting legacy for your family, especially families rotted in the history of Asbury!

Walk-Ins are welcome during any of the three time slots available. Light refreshments will be served.
