I am thrilled that my painting “The Circle Is Sacred” was accepted into this MFA “Power of Color” exhibition. I am especially pleased because it is one of my newest works, and it was literally still on my easel when the following welcome email arrived in my inbox (excerpt):
“Congratulations! With 533 entries by 182 artists, you are one of 55 artists selected for MFA's The Power of Color 2025 Exhibition by juror John Wellington. …”
I took a lot of chances with this one, working to make it less representational and more of an allegory. I had many things going through my head as I painted it, but I would love to hear from you:
What is the feeling or story/stories that you get out of it? (My own poem will follow later, in August.)
