Why Is It Art?: Chat With Us About Modern Art

Come join us for an informal evening of good conversation about the meaning of modern art.

Scrappy Lady Productions is presenting a play entitled ART at King’s Theatre(August 8-10). The play features a ‘white-on-white’ painting and three friends who have different feelings about the painting’s meaning and their complex relationships to each other.

Theatre presenters AC Silver (Director of ART) and Scott Campbell (Producer) will carry on a ‘fireside-like’ chat about presenting this
award-winning and humorous play by Yasmina Reza.

Artist and ARTSPLACE Board Member Ted Lind will begin the evening with a brief visual overview of some the highlights of modernism over the last century.

Everyone will be invited to participate and share their ideas about this intriguing subject.

Free admission, but donations welcome.
