Handsome and Gretyl with Weak Sheep at The Store on Guemes Island (Anacortes). Join us for a night of music on beautiful Guemes Island. The Store will be serving delicious hand crafted pizza while you listen to the upbeat folk-pop tunes, overlooking the Guemes channel and Anacortes. All Ages concert starts at 6pm. Doors open: 5pm
The Store is across the street from the Guemes ferry terminal and is very accessible and the preferred way to visit for dinner and a concert. Ferry from Anacortes is $5 for adults and takes about 5 mins to cross the channel.

Handsome and Gretyl
He came from Toronto; she, from Seattle.Both had music in their blood, instruments in their hands, and a mind to create.The mountains led him to the west; a star led her to the north. In Vancouver they met and schooled—studying music and life.They found promise.They found love.
The couple formed Handsome and Gretyl and released their debut EP, Hold On Tight Love in 2011, followed by a Christmas EP, Wonder in 2012 and their first full-length, Miles and Miles in 2013. Throughout 2015, they crafted a new vision called TWELVE — an album that was created by writing, recording, and releasing one song at a time, one song for each month of the year. Until, finally, on December 12, 2015, the album was complete and the entire album was launched.In 2016, Handsome and Gretyl (with children in tow) hit the road to tour, playing in homes, coffee shops, and venues all across the country and Canada. These days, they’re dreaming up a new collection of EPs and singles to be released throughout this coming year. Handsome (Brett) has begun two side projects, Windwell and Lullen. Handsome and Gretyl have created an earthy folk feel crossed with an imaginative jaunt of pop, a sweet and tangy piece of wild berry pie. This duo draws from real life, delivering optimistic though realistic lyrics, seasoned with the chill of snow, the sea breeze, and the hope of tomorrow’s sunrise.
Weak Sheep
My name is Marielle Rypstra. I was born in Grass Valley in Northern California but have been raised and now live on Whidbey Island, Washington. I would say my sound is a blend of folk, alternative, and some indie rock, singer-songwriter — which I’ve always thought was strange for a genre since all genres would hopefully consist of a songwriter involved.
