Trapped! Narrative improv in a box

Our heroes been trapped in a location of the audience’s choosing: a cave, a toy store, a crime scene. Rather than struggling to escape, they adapt to their new reality—what's it like to REALLY LIVE in a kangaroo enclosure, ya know? The show uses space and time jumps to broaden the world of the story, showing the audience how they got trapped, what's going on outside, and just MAYBE whether they'll get out.

In this seven-week course, you'll learn and rehearse Trapped! with Kevin Miller, learning the tricks of narrative long-form along the way. The course will let you sharpen your ensemble storytelling skills while learning to share space, play patiently, and develop themes.

This course is for improvisers with at least one year of experience; some exposure to long-form improv is strongly recommended. Send a message if you’re not sure or have questions. Students are asked to commit to attending at least six out of seven weeks (and, of course, preferably all of them). Minimum 8 students, maximum 12.
