What’s this workshop about?We invite 25 curious minds to explore a special creative prompt inspired by windows — a prism for memories, perspectives, and moments that shape us.

No experience needed. Bring your openness and we’ll guide you step-by-step on framing your story.

What happens?

• Guided creative time to bring your inspiration to life on a canvas sheet.
• A welcoming space to share your story with the group.
• Your finished artwork can hang in a Zoku exhibition for a full month, then join the city-wide Windows Festival display — a vibrant celebration of community stories and visual expression across Amsterdam’s windows.

About the :

The Windows Festival is a unique, city-wide celebration that transforms Amsterdam’s streets into an open-air gallery. For one weekend, windows become vibrant canvases for storytelling, art, performances, and community connection — showcasing collaborative voices and inspiring new perspectives along some of the city’s most iconic buildings. Everyone is welcome to create, participate, and experience the festival as a living expression of community spirit and creativity.

The Organizer:

Valeria Mecozzi is an experienced facilitator and creative engineer who teaches masterclasses on storytelling for impact to scale-ups, innovative companies, and entrepreneurs in the Netherlands. She combines this expertise with a passion for windows, architecture, and community as an author and the organizer of the Windows Festival in Amsterdam, which launched successfully in 2024 and returns in 2025 in Oost. Through the Festival, she creates opportunities for people to connect and share their stories in creative, public ways.

Zoku is a vibrant gathering place where creativity, community, and connection come to life. Designed to inspire, Zoku brings together curious minds in a warm, open environment that feels like home. As a special touch, your artwork will be exhibited in Zoku's lighted and inviting greenhouse for the full month of September.
