Blue Lotus Tea Ceremony with Tantra Dance Meditation in Amsterdam

You are invited to join us for a Blue Lotus Tea Ceremony with Tandava Dance Meditation on Friday night August 22 from 19:00-21:30 at the beautiful private space of Kokopelli Amsterdam overlooking the canal water. We wish to co-create a safe sacred and connected space where you can connect deeper with your body senses and heart and to experience the whole cycles of existence (e.g. Creation Letting Go) within yourself with a slow gentle yet powerful ancient form of tantric tradition and meditation - Tandava Dance guided by the majestic Blue Lotus flower.

No previous meditation or dance experience required only an open heart. Everyone is welcome to join. All is recommended and optional to your own level and experience.

THE GROUP INTENTION

Through challenging time as it is now the essence of the blue lotus flower is tickling our awareness with a majestic and mystical touch to support our being within the process of healing purification transformation and a deep feeling of divinity. Drinking with intention the lotus transforms/shifts the lower energy into higher going from root to crown resembling the natural growth of the flower. Combined with Tandava Dance Meditation you are invited and guided to rest deeply and express fully of your true essence feeling more harmony and unity with ourselves and the cosmos.

Blue Lotus plants have been used ceremonial wise and for medicinal purposes back in Ancient Egypt for thousands of years. Your host Leila (with her deep roots from the East growing up in the West) has been working with this plant for many years and feel deeply connected to bring this sacred plant in the form of an ancient tea ceremony and together integrate those ancient wisdoms into daily life.

This is functional plant medicine (non-psychedelic) through a milder amount (1-3 flowers) but you will be likely to feel the effect of heart-opening relaxation and peace within and deeper connection to the divine love. You are invited to bring your own intention to manifest in the space.

TEA CEREMONY

An ancient Tea Ceremony guided by the sacred medicine of Blue Lotus and the spirit of growing out of the mud/dark into the light. We will together journey through a meditative state that cultivates mindful process and fluid flow in a harmonious atmosphere that brings us together and connects our senses health and soul. It’s not just about the medicine itself also in the present moment of slowing down giving time and space to what’s really alive in your feelings and surroundings and to listen to what the medicine wants to teach us. We will close the ceremony with a collective prayer.

TANDAVA DANCE MEDITATION

Tandava is an ancient moving meditation from the tantric tradition of Kashmiri Shaivism. It is in different stages leading us into a deep relaxation that allows our body mind and emotions to tune itself in a very subtle way like a musical instrument so that it can vibrate harmoniously within and with the Cosmos. This process of vibrating with totality is called “Spanda” and is innate in us but cannot manifest itself when we are tense and rigid on an emotional mental or physical level. Like a meditation in motion and its deeply intuitive ecstatic and it does not need to follow any particular ways of movements but to open to what wants to move through you and your body.

As a tantric practice sexual energy/life force energy is welcome as the source of creation. Although this is not the space and event for any sexual engagement with each other or nudity.

☼ We advise a light dinner at least 1 hour before so the blue lotus medicine can unfold more unaffected and pure in your body

Integration advices and aftercare will be shared in the closing circle setting a grounded tone for moving forward.

Leila is an Artist of Life following her passions and the vision of awakening. She invites you to embrace both the dark and bright sides of life with a playful and humble attitude. Based in Amsterdam with a deep root from East/China her vision is to help people share their own aliveness and gifts in harmony with the ancient wisdoms of Tao the Way of Nature.

As an facilitator and medicine woman in the conscious spaces during the last five years you can find her guiding (ancient) rituals temple arts and gatherings tantric bodywork and tea/plant medicine ceremonies with an focus on integration into daily life through embodied arts supporting people on their life journeys towards a more tantric way and the wholeness of living.

As a Europe-based event/retreat organizer she is passionate about bringing the depth of healing work that she learned from various teachers to more people and making it more available. She is also the co-host of the world first annual 'Online Summit for Sexuality and Psychedelics' raising mainstream awareness and honest discussions towards deeply rooted healing.
