This 3-hour bootcamp is your chance to dive deep into the world of the Orishas Yemayá and Ochosi, exploring their rhythms, movements, and spiritual presence through dance.

🎯 Level info: This bootcamp is open to all levels: from those who have never explored Afro-Cuban dances to those who want to refine their technique and gain more confidence in their dancing. The class level adapts along the way, depending on how each participant progresses, as we always start from the foundations, guiding you step by step and helping you refine your movements so you can dance in a fluid and natural way.

* You’ll discover the culture and history behind the Orisha, understanding its identity and symbolic meaning.
* You’ll develop your musical ear to recognize the specific rhythms we’ll use during the classes, which are part of this Orisha’s repertoire.
* You’ll learn essential chants. These chants will not only guide you in recognizing which basic steps to dance when you hear them, but will also help you identify their rhythm at times, since in Afro-Cuban dances the steps don’t have their own names — they are recognized and called according to the chant or rhythm that accompanies them.
* You’ll refine your dance technique: we’ll work on torso movements, bounce, and step combinations with clear and detailed explanations so you feel confident and natural when moving.
* We’ll go deeper into the interpretation and essence of the Orisha, because by understanding what it represents, you’ll be able to better express the dance with the right energy and gestures.
