Mosaic Mirror Class with Judy Vazquez

You have been waiting for this class! Here it is!

Join Judy Vazquez at The Local Art Gallery on Sunday, July 20 from 1-4pm to make a mosaic mirror using tile and ceramic / glass. All materials will be supplied with a base that is ready to hang, precut mosaics stones and tile. You will create a 10-12 inch square frame for the mirror with beautiful colors of your choice. The mirror itself will be round, as seen in the photos. Designs, materials list, and technique ideas will be covered so you leave with the skill and confidence to continue on your own.

Judy will demonstrate grouting of final product and take any unfinished mirrors home to dry or complete for you, if needed. You may schedule a time to pick your mirror up at Judy's house in Northampton. $50, includes materials. Ages 10+ with adult. Limited seats. Students should dress for possibly getting glue or grout on clothing which should wash out.

Artist Bio:

Judy Vazquez is a mosaic artist who lives in Northampton, Massachusetts and spends a portion of the year on Anna Maria Island. Her inspiration comes from spending time on Anna Maria Island and hiking in nature in the northeast. She sees her art as a tool to transcend and bring peace to the observer while stirring the imagination. She creates mosaic mirrors, mandalas, nature scenes, stepping stones for indoor and outdoor sacred spaces, and unique rings.
