The Carle is developing an exhibition celebrating and centering North American Indigenous picture book artists and their contributions to children’s literature.
The Carle is excited to invite members from local and regional Indigenous communities to come together and learn more about the exhibition from guest curator, Dr. Lee Francis IV, Ph.D. (Pueblo of Laguna) aka Dr. IndigiNerd, Founder of the Indigenous Imagination Workshop, Indigenous Comic Con, Native Realities, and Red Planet Books and Comics.
Make connections, and share ideas, feedback, and questions!
6:00-6:30 pm Mingle with food in the café
6:45-7:15 pm Introduction to the project in the Auditorium
7:15-8:00 pm Response and conversation
