Get ready to rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul at the Caribbean Wellness Rx, A Sound Healing Paradise event offering Sound Healing and Mindful Movement Yoga. This in-person event will take place at 460 West Street, Amherst, MA, USA. Transport yourself in a vibrant culture as you explore wellness practices inspired by Caribbean vibrations.

What to expect:

The Caribbean Wellness Rx, A Sound Healing Paradise evening will begin with a Mindful Movement Yoga session with ease and gentleness. Mindful movement Yoga is a low-impact technique that builds mind and body endurance. The Yoga instructor's soft voice will guide you to safe and easy-friendly stretching as you become more mindful and aware of your body movements, releasing and feeling beautiful energy as you develop a connection between your mind and body.

After your yoga session, you can lay back and get comfortable on your yoga mat. Hug yourself with your blanket, rest your head on your pillow, and experience a sound bath filled with vibrations and harmony that will awaken and nourish your mind, body, and spirit. Maria del Carmen will play crystal singing bowls, Tibetan metal bowls, ocean and buffalo drum, chimes, and other instruments that will travel down to your cellular level. You will leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and reconnected to self.

What to bring:

Wear comfortable clothing, sweats, yoga attire, etc. Bring your favorite blanket, eye pillow or anything that makes you feel warm, cozy, and at home during the sound healing session. No previous yoga or sound healing experience is necessary.

Maria del Carmen Rodriguez is a passionate advocate for healing and well-being, combining her deep-rooted ancestral wisdom with formal education to create spaces of impact for her clients. As the Founder and Executive Director of the upcoming Healing Sounds; Our Voices Podcast, she shares her knowledge and experiences to empower others on their healing journeys.

Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Metaphysical Science in Natural Medicine, Maria del Carmen is dedicated to integrating holistic practices into her work. Her training as a Restorative Justice Peace Circle Mediator reflects her commitment to fostering healing, reconciliation, and community connection.

Emerging from the majestic mountains of Maunabo, Puerto Rico, she draws inspiration from the sacred vibrations of sound and the earth’s natural rhythms. Maria del Carmen’s mission is to uplift and heal through sound and holistic therapy, honoring her ancestral roots. Maria del Carmen brings the medicinal essence of Puerto Rico’s mountains to the mainland.

Tiffany Joseph is a multi-talented and multifaceted holistic health, wellness, and movement coach/instructor. She is no stranger to healing arts and movement and has a total of 20 years of experience in her portfolio. She is known for her authentic, compassionate, creative, non-judgmental, and energetic teaching style. She thinks of herself as a "conduit of healing energy, light, and love”.

Tiffany Joseph has earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications and a Certificate in Native American studies as well as a Master’s degree in Social Justice Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Tiffany is a certified Yoga and Zumba instructor. She teaches a combination of Embody, Hatha, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative, and Yin Yoga. She is also a dance teacher and teaches various styles for several studios around the Pioneer Valley. Tiffany is a Shiatsu and Reiki practitioner and has been doing bodywork for four years. Additionally, Tiffany is an avid gardener and practices herbalism. She continues to do activism work around the community, providing educational workshops involving various social justice issues.

Tiffany’s passion focuses on healthy living and making that lifestyle accessible to everyone. From photography to painting to different movement and bodywork styles, there is no limit to where she can go. Tiffany Joseph’s artistic expression and passion for healing are where her existence lies.
