Poetry always strikes me as words we all see all the time but is formed into art by the most talented people.
The poetry slam is a light in so many lives. A safe space to share original spoken word, a place to meet new people with similar interests, and a place to learn to see people in a new light.

As those of you who come to the Slam on nights Joshua hosts he compiles an 'Exquisite Corpse' poem using the first line of the poems read. If the poets are comfortable he is willing to share that after.
We put out the sign up sheet at 7:30 and start at 8p. Poets, bring 2 original poems for 2 rounds. Judges have scores from 1-10 but all the love goes to the poet. The bravery of reading original work is the star. Bring an open mind and a love for spoken word.
Lindsay is the best host. And all ages are welcome.
We are running out of used books for prizes and would be happy to accept art or books you would like to share with others. Prizes could start to get creative!
Feel free to bring your beverage of choice.
