Midsummer Music - Chamber Music Festival in the Chilterns

Midsummer Music is now in its 16th year!

This much-loved chamber music festival will run from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th June at the beautiful St Mary's Church in Old Amersham.

Artistic directors, PAUL LEWIS piano and BJØRG LEWIS cello, have put together five attractive concerts over three days at St Mary's Church, Old Amersham in this lovely spot in the Chilterns.

Works ranging from Brahms to Amy Beach, with Schubert's Trout Quintet and C major String Quintet; piano sonatas by Mozart, Beethoven and Schumann, Ravel's Mother Goose Suite for piano duet, Kaija Saariaho's Sept Papillons for solo cello; Haydn String Quartet Op.33/5, and many more brilliant and diverse works. The festival will conclude with Mendelssohn's joyful Octet.
