National Public Lands Day
It's that time of year again to celebrate our National Public Lands!
September 27, 2025, we will have access to the Cross Bar SRMA Trail system in Amarillo, TX. The Bureau of Land Management will provide lunch. Lunch will be served at 11:30am until the food runs out.
Come explore; hike, horseback ride (your own horse), mountain bike, and bird watch, the many miles of trails that have been constructed with the help of volunteers from COTAHC, The Panhandle Trail Riders Assoc., Six Pack Outdoors, and others. Access to the property requires driving through private ranch land. Everyone must meet at the white gate by 8:30am to caravan onto the property. Everyone will leave the property by 1:45pm the same way we came in.
**We will have escorted exits on the hour starting at 11:00am.**
PLEASE invite as many people as you would like. THIS IS the only time that the public has vehicular access to the property until the main access is funded and constructed.

Meet: 8:20am leaving white gate at 8:30am.
Use address of 9610 BrickPlant RD Amarillo TX 79124 to get you to white gate.
Directions: From North Loop 335 exit Western Street. Head north on Western for ~ 1.5 miles then turn west onto Brickplant Road. From Brickplant Road continue 3.21 miles until you see the caravan waiting at the white automatic gate. Please be aware, from the white gate where the caravan will meet to the meeting point on the Cross Bar requires driving through private lands and is a total distance of 11 miles.

Please carpool when you can to save traffic on private land and parking once there.
