Culture-Driven Strategy

Dr. Nancy García-Franken has more than a decade of experience in teaching, research, and community engagement in the fields of journalism, public relations, and multicultural communication. Her scholarly work focuses on the intersections of culture, language, and identity in communication strategy—especially within the U.S. Hispanic market and among first-generation and bilingual populations. García-Franken has published widely on topics ranging from experiential learning to digital storytelling. A frequent speaker and mentor, she has presented on culturally responsive media and social media engagement. With a research-based, community-informed approach, she helps students and professionals alike understand that effective communication starts with cultural relevance. García-Franken is currently an Associate Professor of Media Communication at West Texas A&M University.
