Durban residents will get to elect new Councillors in the 2026 Local Government Elections.

In the latest Brenthurst Foundation survey (April 2025), the ANC is polling at only 19% with the DA at 28% and the IFP at 5%. Should there be a coalition between these three Parties to keep the MK/EFF out then the DA will get to elect a Mayor and lead the way to recovery and change!

A DA Mayor at the helm will prioritize good governance, service delivery, and economic growth with the same proven competence and integrity that the DA has demonstrated in the City of Cape Town, and as has Mayor Chris Pappas in uMngeni Municipality - Howick.
