Weekend with Alice and Ginnie

Welcome to the Weekend with Alice, Join us at The Hay Barn Hampshire in Alton, Hampshire, UK for a fun-filled weekend. Enjoy a relaxing weekend of total sewing bloiss in the fantastic Hay Barn Hampshire, situated in the beautiful Hampshire village of Lower Froyle, just south of Farnham. Over two days, leave all of your hassles behind and recharge your batteries with some dedicated sewing time working on sewing projects of your own choice. It could be that you would like to focus on getting a good fit to your handmade clothes: Maybe you want to tackle a fabric you have never used before, like jersey, a slippery silk or wool; Or prehaps, you'd like to create some soft furnishings or use up all of your scraps on the patchwork quilts. Alice can guide you through any sewing techiques. She is a wonder!

Alice's great friend, Ginnnie is also going to show you how to create a beautiful watercoulour effect silk scarf using natural dyes, Whilst you are waiting for your scarf to steam, you can continue with your sewing project or if the weather in fine, go for a walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.

In the evening, Alice has booked a table at the Anchor Inn, just a two minute walk from the Hay Barn, Where you can wind down from your day of sewing. The cost of this dinner is not included in the price of the course.

Although this class isn't for absolute beginners, if you have some knowledge of using your sewing machine but don't feel very confident, you are very welcome to come and learn some more skills.
