Of Earth and Imagination
October 4 – October 30, 2025
Opening Event: Saturday October 4, 1–4pm
Two artists. Two ways of re-seeing the world.
Emily Davis's series Restore revisits Lismore in the wake of the 2022 floods. Through screen print and mixed media, she transforms familiar streets and buildings into layered, altered visions - where memory, place, and identity overlap. Her work carries both loss and possibility, inviting us to imagine new ways of belonging after disaster.
Nic Palmer uses digital tools to shape imaginative ideas into painted form. Landscapes, animals, interiors and figures remain central, but with a focus on process - balancing chance and intention. By merging technology with traditional observation, Palmer creates layered worlds within worlds, where imagination feels both familiar and strange.
At the opening you'll have the chance to meet Emily Davis and hear about her work in person. While Nic Palmer will be abroad during the opening, she'll be joining us later for a dedicated artist talk (date to be announced).
Together, their work balances earth and imagination: one grounded in the very real memory of place, the other lifting us into the realm of the surreal.
