Drawing Workshops with John Carey

I hold an Honours degree in Fine Art conferred by the Australian National University. I worked for close to 12 years at the National Gallery of Australia as an artist/educator designing and delivering workshops.

My workshops are innovative, sometimes funny, simple but a bit challenging and are aimed at showing you how to look rather than just see things. They focus on the idea of mark making and drawing. A form of mindfulness. They are designed for people of all skill levels. I guarantee you’ll end up with a fridge door worthy drawing.

You will also need to bring along a sense of fun and exploration.

There is afternoon tea in the middle of the workshop. There is coffee and tea making stuff provided along with biscuits.

· The cost is $45 and humans under the age of 12 are free.
· 1pm-3pm.
· Pearces Creek Hall Rd (off Eltham Road).

Materials you’ll need are
· A3 drawing pad.
· A4 sheets of coloured paper (variety stores, Officeworks).
· A pair of good/sharp scissors Preferably not too big.
· A glue stick.
