Grown in the misty highlands of Muyinga Province in northeastern Burundi, this coffee reflects the purity and vibrancy of its origin. Bordering Tanzania and resting at elevations between 1,400 and 1,800 meters, Muyinga’s rolling hills and rich volcanic soils create ideal conditions for cultivating high-quality Bourbon-variety Arabica. The province’s temperate climate, well-defined seasons, and careful washed processing at local stations yield a cup profile that is bright and clean, with red fruit notes, floral aromatics, and a delicate, tea-like clarity. Though rural and still developing, the communities of Muyinga are rich in tradition and resilience, with cooperative-based agriculture strengthening both quality and traceability. This coffee is not only a reflection of terroir, but of a people’s commitment to growth, craft, and renewal.
