Trash and vegetation cleanup at Jones Point Park

The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be improving the trail near and around Jones Point.

Volunteers may perform some of the following work:

• Using pruners and loppers to cut vegetation
• Using hand saws to cut tree branches
• Hauling away vegetation and fallen tree branches
• Picking up trash

What to Bring:

• Water
• Gloves (We'll have some to borrow)
• Long sleeves and long pants

Where to Meet:

The work area is underneath the bridge from the Jones Point Parking Lot. See the image below for walking directions from Jones Point Park to the meeting location.

Group Volunteering:

We welcome groups to come volunteer at our events. If you plan on having more than 20 people come to a particular event, just let us know via email (aGVsbG8gfCBtb3VudHZlcm5vbnRyYWlsICEgb3Jn) no less than one week prior to the day of the event so we can better prepare supplies and promote your group’s attendance on social media.
