Mixed Reality Group Exhibition
September 19th – Opening Reception 6-8:30 pm
Closes October 6th
Join us for the opening of Mixed Reality, a huge group exhibition showcasing a diverse range of contemporary Realist painting. From Hyperrealism to Magic Realism, Impressionism to Trompe l’Oeil, the show brings together leading artists whose work explores the many ways reality can be observed, interpreted, and reimagined. Though varied in style, each piece remains grounded in the visible world, offering a compelling look at how realism continues to evolve in the hands of today’s painters.
Realism is a broad term encompassing artistic approaches that emphasize the faithful representation of the visible world. In contrast to pure abstraction, where forms are entirely divorced from recognizable subjects, Realism remains rooted in the observable, even as it takes on many stylistic forms. I’ve invited leading artists working across this expansive spectrum, including Hyperrealism, Impressionism, Trompe l’Oeil, Magic Realism, and Classical Realism. Together, these artists offer a compelling exploration of how reality can be perceived, interpreted, and transformed through their unique frames of reference.
