In-person class: Classic Handmade Pasta with Bolognese Sauce (DC)

There’s nothing quite like the taste of fresh, homemade pasta, and now you can experience the joy of creating it yourself.

In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to prepare perfect pasta dough from scratch. Using a pasta machine or rolling pin, you’ll roll out the dough to create wide, beautiful ribbons of fresh Pappardelle. Then with audience participation the chef instructor will craft a rich and flavorful Bolognese sauce to complement your pasta. The chef is able to offer a vegetarian sauce option. Afterward, you’ll sit down and enjoy your homemade dish!

No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).

Class will take place in hotel event space. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. You will be seated with your booking party. Guests in the same booking party will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside drinks are not allowed.

Guest requirement

The class will take place in the hotel event space. The nature of our classes are set up so that booking parties will work together during class, sharing both ingredients and equipment. Groups of 2 may be asked to share their station with another couple. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in so that class can begin on time.
