Many of you know, if you follow this page, that next term I am starting a new Adult Starters Band. So far I have 9 confirmed enrolments and two people who have expressed interest but have not yet confirmed.
This new band is gonging to be :
* Wednesday afternoons 3:00pm until 5:00pm
Redlands Church of Christ Hall
51 Allenby Road Alexandra Hills
Commencing rehearsals on Tuesday 22nd April 2025
I would now like to offer a bit of a sweetener if you are thinking of joining but don't have an instrument yet.
I have some spare instruments that I am happy to let RASB (Redlands Adult Starters Band) people use rent free so long as they play in one of our bands.
I would like to offer the following:
*Two Trombones,
*One Euphonium,
*One French Horn,
*Two Alto Saxophones,
*One Tenor Saxophone,
*Two Clarinets,
*One Flute,
And the use of a very nice set of Percussion instruments for you to use if you learn percussion. Unfortunately the percussion instruments are not for you to take home.
Percussionists need to get at least a practice pad, sticks and a Glockenspiel for their home practice. This is cheaper than buying a trumpet.
If you are interested in learning one of these instruments you do not need to buy one, and all it will cost you is the price of the book we use, and $15 a week to take the two hour a week, band lesson with me. This is billed by school term which general works out to be $150 per term.

PS. I feel a bit like Santa giving out pressies to some deserving Musicians. I wish someone had let me use an instrument for free when i wanted to start learning. What a sweet deal!!!
