Kicking off the 2025 Spring Music in the Gardens Series is Ngiyampaa man and First Nations singer-songwriter Pirritu (Brett Lee)!
Pirritu creates gentle, soulful music that speaks from the heart. His melodic chords and emotive vocals carry stories of love, loss and hope, inspired by his own journey of reconnection to family, culture and language.
Adopted as a newborn and raised to be proud of his heritage, Pirritu began his cultural journey at just 14 years old — a path that continues today through his work with the Ngiyampaa Language Project and as a board member of Songlines, Victoria’s peak Aboriginal music body. His career has taken him across Australia and internationally, captivating audiences with performances that are both intimate and uplifting.
Music in the Gardens is a series of free outdoor concerts set in the spectacular Albury Botanic Gardens, taking place on the third Sunday of March, April, May, September and November.
The Gardens are transformed into an open-air amphitheatre, inviting the community to unwind on the beautifully landscaped lawns while enjoying captivating performances from Australian and international touring artists.
Music in the Gardens will be located in the rose garden area, due to the redevelopment of the Elms.
Food and drink will be available to purchase on the day, so BYO chairs or a picnic rug and head on down to the gardens for a tunning afternoon in the sun.
