This Seventh Sunday after Pentecost, we continue our 4-part worship series entitled "Moving Forward" with a specific focus on proclaiming Christ and the good news. Through the lens of 2Corinthians 3:4-6a and Mark 9:33-37, we'll explore the equipping of Christ-followers with the competence from God to be engaged in the ministry of proclaiming God's covenant of love in tangible ways. Jesus told his disciples "Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all. What does the call to love and humility in our proclaiming Christ speak to you? In what ways will the church be "Moving Forward: to Proclaim" in ways that bring hope to people's lives. We'll explore these and other questions during worship this Sunday as we also have the joy of witnessing a baby dedication and consider Jesus' teaching that "Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.”
