Looking to dive into the world of Gypsy Jazz, Hot Club Swing, and Jazz Manouche? This specialized guitar class for intermediate and advanced players will explore the intricate techniques and intriguing melodies that define this unique genre. From the pioneering innovations of Django Reinhardt to contemporary interpretations, participants will develop skills in right- and left-hand technique, improvisation, chord progressions, and stylistic nuances. This course offers a comprehensive journey into the vibrant and expressive realm of Gypsy Jazz guitar. Students should bring an acoustic or archtop guitar, be familiar with chord charts, guitar neck diagrams, and tablature. Please bring the thickest, heaviest pick or plectrum that you can find!
