On Tuesday, December 2nd, Senator Patricia Fahy, Assemblymembers Gabriella Romero and John T. McDonald, III, the Public Utility Law Project (PULP), and other partners will host a workshop to help directly impacted utility customers check eligibility for a variety of energy-related programs, including New York’s Energy Affordability Program monthly bill discount, energy efficiency programs, and more.
Participants are encouraged to come prepared with their utility bill, a valid form of identification, and, if available, a copy of their current benefits award letter from public assistance programs such as HEAP, SNAP, or SSI, to facilitate the assistance process.
Trained advocates from PULP and other agencies will help area residents check their utility bills to see if they’re enrolled in their utility’s low-income monthly bill discount program, provide information on programs to improve home insulation, and answer other utility-related questions. National Grid customers can also discuss their accounts with company representatives while learning more about options such as payment agreements, budget billing, and more.
Also check out other Workshops in Albany.
