ONE WOMAN SHOW BY CLAIRE NOLAN: “From Cork to Coal: The Life and Times of Mother Jones.”

MAY IS LABOR HISTORY MONTH!

Celebrate Labor History Month at the Irish American Heritage Museum on May 28, 2025, with a special event/performance by Claire Nolan!!! Claire, a true friend of IAHM, is a brilliant writer, storyteller, and historical re-enactor. Claire has written and performed several sold-out plays about women at IAHM.

May 28, 2025’s performance - entitled “From Cork to Coal: The Life and Times of Mother Jones” - is about Mary G. Harris Jones (1837 - 1930), an immigrant from Ireland who became an American labor organizer. Mother Jones had a fascinating journey with stops that included being a schoolteacher, dressmaker, activist community organizer, and prominent union organizer. Mother Jones' activism and organization successes earned her the moniker of the "most dangerous woman in America."

Without a doubt, this will be another fantastic performance by Claire Nolan.
