About the event

Get to Know Pinkster: Exploring Rhythms of the Diaspora

Musician, educator, and cultural practitioner Jordan Taylor-Hill will lead a hands-on drumming workshop exploring West African and Caribbean diasporic music. Participants are encouraged (but not required) to bring their own percussive instruments (drums, shakers, etc.). An adult chaperone is required- this is not a drop-off event. Space is limited.

After the program, join us back at Schuyler Mansion to help decorate a recreated Pinkster shelter!

This event is FREE and in partnership with the Albany Public Library. It will be held at the Howe Branch of the Albany Public Library, located at 105 Schuyler Street in Albany, NY.
