Join artist Maura Jasper at Opalka Gallery on the final day of Compass Roses to purchase a chair directly from "Is This Chair Available?"

Each chair will be sold for $10 and comes with its original object story card, a small place card showing a photograph of the chair, and the narrative tied to its original location and Marketplace listing.

All chairs will be re-listed on Facebook Marketplace beginning October 8, where buyers can reserve a chair by responding to the post. Final pickups and in-person sales will take place Saturday, October 11, from 1–5 PM at the gallery.
This closing gesture brings the project full circle, continuing its exploration of place, exchange, and meaning through secondhand objects. Visitors can preview chairs during gallery hours before purchasing. Buyers will also be invited (optional) to be photographed with their new chair and share where it's headed - adding a final chapter and location to each object’s story.
