About the event

AARC June Rally
✨ AARC JUNE RALLY

This month, our rally will be held on the Saturday, so please mark June 28 in your calendars! We’re delighted to welcome back the wonderful Louise Hillman by popular demand and she has some fabulous offerings for our June rally. Please read Louise’s class descriptions below, before booking.

RALLY SCHEDULE
✨ 9am onwards, Free Morning Tea in the kitchen - compliments of our wonderful club committee and available all morning.
✨ 9am - 12 noon - Group Lessons with Louise in the indoor - see detailed class descriptions below.
✨ Free Activity - Working Equitation Obstacles, poles, etc out in the sea container paddock. Meet at 9:30am to help with set up.
✨ Free Activity - Video sessions. Email us with any suggested topics and meet in the back room at 9:30am to view related videos.
✨ 12:30 Shared Lunch - bring one of your favourite meals to share.

⭐️ GROUP LESSONS - with Louise Hillman $50 per rider.

Louise needs no introduction to our club and she is very kindly offering us three brilliant options to choose from. Bookings are on a first in best dressed basis, so please let us know your first and second option and we’ll do our best to accomodate everyone. Please note that class times will depend on bookings.

Option One:
ESTABLISHING THE ‘BUTTONS’ GROUNDWORK AND RIDDEN LESSON: Aim is to install/enhance your ‘buttons’ to ensure you and your horse are clear on, and more adept at, using the different leg and seat aids, together with the required response. This will enable you to have more influence on your horse without relying on the reins so much and, for those aspiring to ride without a bridle one day, it will set you up on this path.

Option Two:
LATERAL MOVEMENTS RIDDEN LESSON: Aim is to secure some basic lateral movements, including why we need them, how to achieve them and when to use them.

Option Three:
RIDDEN LESSON DEVELOPING SUPPLENESS TO ACHIEVE FRAME NATURALLY: Developing suppleness in the horse and rider enables a horse to work correctly over the back with flow, ease and harmony.

Times may be subject to change depending on numbers. Bookings are on a first in best dressed basis - so please let us know your first and second option and we will do our best to accommodate everyone.

To book your lesson, please email your first and second option to us at YWxiYW55YWR1bHRyaWRpbmcgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== and make your $50 payment into the club account.

RALLY SCHEDULE

FREE MORNING TEA IN THE CLUB ROOMS from 9am.

✨ The urn will be hot and our wonderful committee will create some nourishing treats.

FREE ACTIVITIES from 9:30am.

✨ We understand that many of you don’t want formal lessons and come along just to socialise and have fun with your horse. So we offer a range of options with something for everyone. This month we’re offering the choice of WEq and other obstacles (weather permitting). We are also happy to play videos on any discipline. So please email us with your suggestions and topics of interest.

If you’re wanting to do the obstacles, please meet in the sea container paddock at 9:30 for set up. And if you want to watch the videos, please send us your suggested topics and meet in the back room at 9:30.

✨ As always, you’re welcome to ride out on the X Country course, play on the permanent AEC trail horse obstacles, practice your own dressage test in the sand arena, slip out the back gate onto the Stidwell bridle trail, or simply do your own thing. 💫

SHARED LUNCH @ 12:30

This is a great opportunity to socialise with other horse folk. Please bring a plate of your favourite food to share.

⭐️ MONTHLY BOOKINGS:

All classes are $50 each and must be booked by the Wednesday before and paid for by 5pm on the Thursday before each rally. You will be notified about your class allocations via email by Friday evening.

✨ Please Note: If there are too few registrations by the Wednesday before the rally, then instructors may be cancelled. So please book early to avoid disappointment. 🐎💫

If you’re thinking of joining the club for the remainder of the year then you can sign up on the day for only $100.

If you want to book into a lesson, then you can download a membership form from our website www.albanyadultridingclub.com

Please remember to RSVP even if you’re not booking a paid lesson.

Our club email address is YWxiYW55YWR1bHRyaWRpbmcgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ==

All dogs must be kept on leads and fence sitters are always welcome free of charge. 💫
