Concert La Soave Armonia and Duo Fortunelli
In the Renaissance, faith, love and the moon were anchors for everyday life.
Today it would be spirituality, love and the environment.
We have made a program around these themes, with beautiful songs in Italian and Spanish from the Renaissance and three modern songs in English.
Apart from these varieties, it is a beautiful alternation of songs with a cappella and instruments, sung by soloists or choir, serious and playful songs, in short, for a wide audience.
The Fortunelli are specialized in early music, they have been organizing courses on this subject for years.
As a duo they did concerts in Italy, Holland and Belgium.
Francien has a degree in recorder, lyric singing and choir conducting.
The Soave Harmony
The choir "Soave Armonia", conducted by Francien Meuwissen, was born in October 2009. It can certainly be defined as an international choir: it is made up of two Swiss members, Italian, Dutch, German and Dannese. The singers are united by the love for the Langhe, the passion for singing and the desire to be together, in harmony not only in music but also in life.
These assumptions, together with the nice but firm direction of Francien, have meant that a nice group has formed and the desire to learn and improve has always led to new progress.
The atmosphere of complicity and understanding that has come to be created has favored the exploration of the various musical styles and many forms of choral singing: starting from the madrigals of the fifteenth century, passing through solemn liturgical songs, arriving at the pieces taken from the musical and African songs rich in very particular rhythms and sonority, just to give a few examples.
Learning while having fun and almost as if it were a game, made even the most difficult things easy and the work of the tests is anything but tiring and boring.
The differences in language and culture were immediately overcome and turned into opportunities for exchange and comparison.
