We’re calling on community volunteers to help us spruce up our district! Join us for a hands-on day of beautification at the WABA Healing Garden and surrounding areas as part of our celebration of 150 years of Webster Street.
Help us show some love to the spaces that bring our community together!
🧹 Volunteer Activities Include:
– Cleaning and weeding the Healing Garden
– Painting the fence in the adjacent parking lot
– Tidying up around the stage area
– Hanging a sunshade over the stage
– Picking up trash along Webster Street (depending on turnout)
– Identifying and documenting graffiti
🧤 What to Bring:
– Work gloves
– Knee pads or a garden kneeler
– Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection
💧 We’ll Provide:
– Water to keep everyone hydrated
– All necessary tools and supplies
– A food voucher for volunteers who complete at least four hours of service
– Community service hour verification available on request
🧡 Whether you can lend a hand for 30 minutes or the whole day, your participation helps keep West Alameda looking its best.
This event is hosted by the West Alameda Business Association (WABA)—uniting neighbors, small businesses, and local leaders in our shared mission to keep Webster Street vibrant, welcoming, and thriving for the next 150 years.
