Reiki is a Japanese healing art that promotes overall well-being and deep relaxation. From the New Oxford American Dictionary, “Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being.” Reiki is a Japanese word that directly translates to “Universal Life-Force Energy;” Rei meaning “universe” and Ki meaning “life-force energy.” Reiki involves light hands-on touch and the hovering of hands to transfer energy. During Reiki attunements the practitioner participates in a sacred ritual in which they are spiritually opened to allow Reiki energy to flow through them as a channel or conduit. Reiki attunements deepen our sensitivity, our awareness, and our compassion for self and others.
During our Reiki II attunement and training, we will learn more about this sacred energy. We will explore hand positions for Reiki treatments on others and how to set up an environment conducive to rest and healing. We will learn 3 Reiki symbols and practice with them. We will cover Reiki ethics, boundaries, and consent. We will practice sharing on one another. There will be a guided meditation to lead us into relaxation in preparation for the attunement, an opening of the sushumna column (the energetic spine).
Investment in this experience is $180 and includes a Reiki II manual created by Alexandra. Bringing a journal and anything that is spiritually significant to you is highly recommended.
This experience will be divinely and intuitively guided by Reiki, making it a unique and intentional experience for everyone in attendance. No two Reiki trainings are the same. Trust that if you feel called to Reiki at this time, you are meant to be here!
