SCOTT McKNIGHT is a singer/songwriter/frontman/sideman from Northern Virginia. His songs have been performed, by himself and others, from Boston to California to Antarctica. He’s shared the stage with Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Ricky Scaggs, NRBQ, Marty Stewart, Marshall Crenshaw, the dBs; and has played in bands that won Washington-Area Music Awards “Wammies” and he has been nominated for a Wammie as a songwriter. As recorded by the band Last Train Home, Scott’s song All Eyes Go went to #7 on the Gavin Americana chart.
Scott’s connection to Aitkin, MN goes back more than 50 years. He began visiting in the early 1960s and his family connections go back about 100 years.
CHRISTIAN McSHANE is a multi-instrumentalist from southern Wisconsin. He is one half of the ethereal band Everybird with harpist Holly Shaw; and cellist with Charlie Parr in the experiemental band Abandoned Cities. Prior to living in Aitkin, his ambient soundtrack duo, if thousands, released 7 full length albums, amassed 22 soundtracks from 2001-2017, and were regularly featured on MPR and NPR's This American Life. Their most notable work was featured on Travis Wilkerson's award-winning film An Injury to One (best new documentary, Sundance Film Festival, 2003).
Aitkinites know him as the guy who's directly or indirectly behind all the music in the area in one form or another, as well as the lead guitarist and vocalist for SongBridge, a local cover band.
