★ What is J-Kai?
J-Kai is JAFA's monthly social event that has been running since 1998. It provides an opportunity for Japanese and Australians with an interest in Japan to meet in a relaxed atmosphere. You don't have to be a JAFA member or speak any Japanese, just come along! Anyone can join and it's free.
Our monthly J-Kai gathering in Adelaide is a great opportunity to practice your Japanese language skills, share your Japan stories, or get started with the JAFA community. It's all very informal and casual, so come join us for a fun night.
The first 30 minutes of J-Kai (6pm - 6:30pm) is Japanese-speaking - an ideal opportunity to practice and sharpen your language skills with other learners.
J-Kai often includes board games, screenings of Japanese sporting games or TV shows, live music, guest speakers and more. Check our Facebook page for the latest updates.
There's no need to register for J-Kai - simply come along to The Hotel Metro at any time on the evening, and look for the JAFA banner in the courtyard!
★ When: Every 4th Wednesday of the month (no J-Kai in December)
★ Where: Courtyard Bar, The Hotel Metro (46 Grote Street, Adelaide 5000 - opposite Central Market)
★ When: 6pm - 9pm
