Ilinden is one of the most significant days in the Macedonian calendar, a time to honour history, heritage, and the spirit of freedom.

It commemorates the Ilinden Uprising of 1903 – a bold revolt led by the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organisation (IMRO) against the Ottoman Empire.

Although ultimately suppressed, it remains a powerful symbol of the Macedonian struggle for freedom and independence.
