📢 Special Event: The Colocasi Mystery – How Common Taro Became a Signature Dish of Cyprus

Hosted by the Arts and Culture Committee of the Cyprus Community of South Australia, this illustrated talk by Dr Noris Ioannou unravels the fascinating journey of Colocasi (taro). This starchy root vegetable has been a staple of Cypriot cuisine for over 2,000 years.

Blending scholarly research with personal stories, Dr Ioannou will explore how Colocasi arrived in Cyprus, became a beloved dish among Greek Cypriot families, and was later introduced to Australia in the 1940s.
