South Australia decriminalised abortion in 2022 and is a fundamental right to the freedom of choice. Now, less than a year after similar legislation was defeated, a new bill threatens to roll back our rights. It would ban terminations after 23 weeks—even in cases of mental health crisis—unless the mother’s life is at risk or there are severe fetal abnormalities. As seen in the United States, these rollbacks on Abortion rights is and will be a slippery slope. Stand your ground and fight for your rights, let them hear you.
