* The PREVIEW Sale for Friends Members is Friday evening, May 30th, from 7-9 pm. That means first pick, and light music. AB Residents may join the Friends at the door for $20.
Book Sale Prices: most $2 except children's paperbacks $1. Also selection of first editions and signed monographs individually priced.
The Friends of the Acton Libraries is a 100% volunteer organization that has a unique remit; we donate funds to Acton's 8 elementary middle-school and high-school libraries, as well as the 2 town libraries. Our book sales and other activities raise money which we then distribute to these 10 entities. The funds we give to the elementary school libraries represent almost 50% of their book buying budget...
Book Sale Leftovers: People often ask us where the leftover books go at the end of a sale. We are lucky to be in touch with volunteers from charitable organizations who take many of them, including More Than Words.
Donations: The Friends are grateful to everyone who donates books. We welcome all books in good condition, and we especially love to get good-quality children's books.
We encourage our volunteers of all ages and welcome newcomers too! Email
