JUNK CAR RACE
JULY 26TH - 7:00 PM START TIME

*ROOF SIGNS ARE MANDATORY 12X12 OR BIGGER IN SIZE OR YOU WILL NOT BE SCORED.
*If you cut your exhaust, you must remove whatever is not connected to the engine. Example: Pipe and muffler
*You must be 16 years of age or older on the day of the event to compete.

A. All rules and regulations must be observed and followed. Track operators and promoters reserve the right to approve or reject all entries.
B. Only drivers will be permitted on the track.
C. No cars permitted on the track before the heat they are to participate in.
D. Members of the auto race are not employees of the track operators or the promoter.
E. No alcoholic beverages allowed. Drivers that are or have been drinking will be disqualified.
F. All drivers must wear safety belts and helmets.
G. Long sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed toe shoes are required.
H. All drivers must be present one-half hour before scheduled start time.
I. No ramming the driver’s door deliberately.
J. Heat and feature laps will be set by the judges.
K. The race will be composed of heats and feature.
L. ALL CARS MUST HAVE FUNCTIONING BRAKES WITHOUT USING EMERGENCY BRAKE.

Participating Regulations
1. Any factory 4- or 6-cylinder uni body automobile only. NO 8 CYLINDER OR FULL FRAME VEHICLES
2. Cars must appear stock, unless noted below.
3. All glass, plastic trim, outside door handles, chrome and fiber glass noses must be removed prior to arrival.
4. Windshield and rubber bumper covers are optional.
5. All anti-freeze and freon must be drained prior to arriving at the track.
6. All airbags must be removed.
7. Battery may be moved to passenger front floor. Must be secured and covered. NO self tapping screws or ratchet straps. Judges decison will be final.

Fuel system
8. Electric fuel pumps are permitted. They must have a visible switch for track personnel in case of fire.
9. Stock tanks may be used if they are located rear axle forward underneath the car
10. No stock tanks permitted inside the car, metal or plastic boat tanks, or pre- approved fuel cells must be securely mounted in the back seat area of the car using metal strapping. Gas tank protectors are permitted, must be 3 inches from any metal. The max size of the protector 30x30 box max from seat bar with no extra metal added …. (30 inches is 30 inches) must be 3 inches away from all sheet metal from the start of the show. This rule applies to both fresh built and pre ran cars. Absolutely no exceptions

Tires
11. Tires must be d.o.t only. Doubles, liquid or foam filled, tubes and snow tires are permitted. No ` v ` or ` w ` paddle type tires you may include an outside rubber tire flap. You may screw the tire fast to the wheel. No studs or wheel weights.
12. Factory steel or aluminum wheels only. There may be weld in centers modifications. 3/8 of an inch thick, 7 inches across max! No valve stem protectors or any other modifications of any kind.

Body
13. You may bolt the hood to the inner bracing in 12 spots, using 3/8 bolts with one inch washer max. No other bracing allowed to the hood. If it did not come factory stock, you may not add it.
14. Hoods, trunks and tailgates cannot be welded shut. You may use chain, wire or bolted in 6 spots maximum on each. (All thread may be used no larger than 1 inch in diameter) with a 4x4 inch max flat plate. May weld a 1/4x2”x4” angle on hood/top of fender with (1) bolt per angle set only
15. No other bracing may be added to support all thread.
16. Hoods must be open for inspection. Must have (2) 8” holes in hood in case of fires
17. Doors; must be chained, wired or cabled or welded shut.
18. Trunks may be tucked or, canoed but not wedged. Quarter panels must remain vertical. Roof to deck bars may not be used. If using all thread one threaded rod per hole. In trunk lid. If threaded rod goes through two spots of trunk lid it counts as two spots (6) spots on trunk lid max
19. All sunroofs must be covered.
20. Body mounts must remain stock. You may replace it with 1-inch max spacer or remove it and bolted flat.
21. Seat, dash bar will be permitted (4” inches max round door to door or post to post only may only be connected on both sides. 6x2` c ` channel or 4-inch pipe max! (no kickers anywhere). Roof chains may be used from frame to roof (two per side max). Seat Bar can be max 6” from seat max 6” past back of seat, halo bars are permitted but only can be welded to the seat bar no kickers anywhere. May be bolted in two spots only to the roof.

Suspension
22. Rear ends may be locked. They also may be swapped from another make/model (rear wheel drive only), but it must remain stock suspension. If front wheel drive must have stock rear axle
23. Drive shaft must remain factory stock.
24. Suspensions must move with one man’s effort. No reinforcing of any kind. Tie rods included. Any questions regarding this, call.
Engines
25. Exhaust may exit through the hood (must be ten inches above the carburetor or throttle body). If you cut your exhaust, you must remove whatever is not connected to the engine. Example: Pipe and muffler
26. Engine swaps are acceptable. Engine mounts may be welded, chained or bolted solid. No engine protectors/cradles.
27. Shifting mechanism may be altered.
28. The gas/brake pedal may be altered.

Bumpers
29. Bumpers may be bolted solid or welded. Bumper plungers may be welded,
30. Bumpers may be swapped with other makes and models.
31. Bumpers you may use a piece of 4x4 or 2x6 box tube, c channel or round pipe ¼ thick max (will be measured). These style bumpers ,must be cut off center tread of tire.
If you plan to use a piece of ` C` channel for a bumper you must mount the legs of the channel to the frame rails. The flat part must be facing out. no loops or kickers, we highly recommend that the ends to be made at a 45-degree angle, to prevent poking through doors,
32. Any bumper mounting brackets or tubing may not be longer than 12 inches inside or outside when mounting bumper.
33.BUMPERS MAY BE NO WIDER THAN CAR.

Frame
34. No welding of frames or body seams. Rust repair may be made on the frame with the same thickness metal 1 inch passed the hole only. Trailer hitches must be removed. You may chain the front sub frame to the body one chain per side. You may run one chain from lower A-arm to lower A-arm. NO skid plates
35. No stuffing frames.
36. You must run the same vehicle you qualified with.
37. To make inspection faster and easier on you, please follow all the rules.
38. All decisions by judges are final.

Pay Outs:
Heats: 1st-100, 2nd-50, 3rd-25
Feature event: 1st-600, 2nd-200, 3rd-100
