"Sam West Trio is bass, drums, guitar, and vocals creating groove-based music. West’s solid bass foundation and a heart-constructed lyrical craft shines bright. SWT is most comfortable in a live room where improvisation takes hold. Listeners can expect a fun foray of tunes by Howlin Wolf, Earth Wind and Fire, and the Funky Meters – as well as original compositions that range from blues, rock, funk, jazz – or, as some would call it, ‘fusion’.

The Sam West Trio self-titled EP is currently available on streaming and iTunes services.

A mid-westerner born between bluegrass and jazz, country and soul, West currently resides in Southwest Virginia."
