Film Premiere: The Shrowdinger

A new independent film made by ACT alumni! Directed by Amanda Keith and starring Holly Bentea, Ben Eden and Stefen Echols, the proceeds from this one-night-only event will fund multiple film festival submissions.

But what's the film about? The Shrowdinger is a bittersweet comedy-drama about a father and daughter on a camping trip. Here's a little back-of-the-DVD-box description:

Joseph Irwin has a problem. His daughter doesn't seem to be enjoying their camping trip. She won't eat the breakfast he made. Or go hiking with him. Also, she died three days ago.

Kathy Irwin can't figure out what's going on with her dad. He won't discuss their last big fight. Her ukulele playing only annoys him. And she's struggling with the fact that she's imaginary.

Over the next 24 hours, Joseph and Kathy will untangle fishing line. They'll do some stargazing. They'll get takeout. And they'll try to confront their shared past - all while sitting outside an RV called... The Shrowdinger.

The Shrowdinger is not rated, but would probably be a PG-13 for language and adult subject matter.
