Our new race, The Black Cattle Ultra is taking place on the 23rd August.
It starts at Llanthony Priory (44 mile race) or Abergavenny (33 mile race) and runs all the way to Cardiff with much of it along the Cambrian Way. To enable participants, and anyone who is curious about the ultra (whether for this year or the next), to get a taste of the Ultra we will be holding three recce days, led by qualified Trail & Fell Leaders.
This recce will enable you to get a feel for the race, the navigation and the terrain with the added comfort of being guided by qualified Run Leaders.
10th August: Abergavenny to Risca 19 miles

These will be point to point and so it will be necessary to arrange transportation in between start and end points either by taking two cars between 2 or more people, or if necessary and there is a demand for it we may be able to arrange a mini bus (at a cost). We will facilitate this between participants so please don't worry about signing up alone.
Each recce will cost £10, unless you have already signed up to the race itself, in which case the recces are free of charge. If you pay to come on a recce, and subsequently wish to sign up to the event we will refund the cost of the recces to you.
