Brought together by their shared love of New Orleans music, and comprising musicians from various corners of Edinburgh’s jazz scene, Tenement Jazz Band take you back to the roots of the music, capturing the raw energy and excitement of the early jazz recordings. Star Swedish saxophonist, singer and composer Nanna Carling is the perfect collaborator. Taking inspiration from icons such as Sidney Bechet, Billie Holiday and Johnny Hodges, her performances are bursting with high energy and the contagious joy of playing.
