Grow Group Show! - An exhibition of participant artwork from the Grow Programme

Join us to experience the creative outcomes of the Grow Groups Programme and celebrate what grows when people come together to make, share, and reflect.

Across four weeks in May, participants took part in a series of artist-led workshops designed to spark creativity, encourage connection, and support well-being. Each group focused on a different artistic approach—textiles, photography, zine-making, and sculpture—guided by artists.

Textile designer Helen Greensmith led Stitch & Print Textiles, where participants created personal fabric wall hangings that formed part of a collaborative mural.

Multidisciplinary artist Jenny Hood (Corvid Eyes) guided the Seeing & Looking group through photography and collage exercises, resulting in expressive, handmade zines.

Esther Helfer led Whereabouts, a hands-on exploration of sculpture using materials such as clay, cardboard, and birch, culminating in individual and group art works.

Together, these sessions offered space for reflection, experimentation, and creative growth—now brought together in the Grow Group Show! at Arkade Gallery
