With the help of local farmers, the Wyre Natural Flood Management project is delivering more than 1,000 measures to store, slow and intercept flood water and prevent peak flow. It is one of the first examples of NFM in the UK to benefit from private finance.
This visit is for farmers from the Wharfedale catchment and will include talks about the project at Abbeystead village Hall, a free lunch and a visit to a farm implementing NFM measures. A minibus will be leaving Skipton auction car park at 9.45am so please book.
Tickets for VISIT TO THE WYRE NFM PROJECT can be booked here.
